Our first Boxer/Show dog was purchased in 2004 from Valeska Boxers (NZ) at the age of 8 months and 11 months later we had titled our first Champion. Sivad Boxers was then registered with the New Zealand Kennel Club in 2005, we are a small but very successful Kennel that is based in Auckland, the North Island of New Zealand.
Once Tua was titled a Champion we decided it was the right time to look into acquiring a Boxer bitch. We made contact with Ozstock Boxers (NSW Australia) and shortly after we had imported out first Boxer. Briar was exactly what we were after beautiful English type with a striking head piece, this girl is the Foundation of Sivad Boxers.
Team Sivad are based on English lines either directly from the UK or via Australia. We have imported 3 Boxers from top Kennels in Australia. Our aim is to produce quality dogs with superb temperaments, sound structure, type and overall excellence while keeping within the breed standard, for the show ring or as family companions. We are a kennel that prides itself on producing quality litters over quantity litters and may have a litter every 1-2 years.
We have exported 3 Boxers back to Australia all who have had success in the show ring including one that was titled an Australian Champion. Every member at Sivad Boxers has contributed to our success with Best of Breed wins, Group wins and Age Class in Show wins either at All Breeds, Group Specialty or Boxer Specialty Championship Shows.
The team are all heart checked and certified by New Zealand's only cardiologist, we try and do this annually. Five of the Team have also been ARVC tested and our results are; the girls (Negative) the boys (Positive Heterozygous).
